With a personal, straightforward touch, you will be guided to a world you didn’t know existed; experimental, global  and independent.

Stocktown is a mix-show with a wide range of music, animations, art and appearances from over 40 artists featured. Meet among others legendary rapper Kool Keith, Princess Superstar, the Irish photographer B+, multi-artist Futura 2000, house queen Diva KP, Waikikii B-boys, General UHHH! and many others.

Episode 1

Japanese artist Shingo2, the faderboard inventor and specialist, explains the connection between UFOs and hiphop music. Baba freestyles his way around the streets of New York and meets musicians and people on the road seeking for hope. From downtown Sydney, meet Hyjak and Brad Strut, two independent artists telling you the truth about the scene in Australia. Apani B-fly, female rapper from Brooklyn, explains the hiphop rules on stage.

Episode 2

Fearless artist Princess Superstar from New York City, explains the need for females writing erotic lyrics. Deep talks on genre breaking with Divine Styler, artist and producer from Los Angeles. Visual and experimental music from the artist Numb and Kamata b-boys practicing and performing at a Tokyo train station. Also in this episode, the producer Yoghrt from Tokyo who creates music for hypnotic sleep.

Episode 3

The producer Daedelus from Santa Monica, crashing the West Coast’s donut shops with his performances, introduces his secret collection of toy instruments.

Artist Kilowatts the Mongoose guiding you to the true music life in Honolulu

and producer Handxroids from Los Angeles reveals the secrets behind making

hiphop beats. Watch also drum´n bass producer Makoto and rapper Goriki

from studios in Tokyo.

Episode 4

Step into the heart of Brooklyn, deep into the infamous DON 1 reggae studio where you can make your own dub plate. From the suburbs of Tokyo meet the amazing DJ Dolbee and get a closer look at freestyle rappers in Peoples Park in Berkley. Also presenting the fabulous duo Sam & Valley from Tokyo, producing electronic music for children. The artist Angel from Los Angeles explains the struggle on the independent scene.

Episode 5

Get down with Those Intelligent Dance Bitches from San Fransisco, a music

collective with their own label and internet radiostation. Also presenting Crown City Rockers performing live from the Bay Area and the label19-T working the Game Boys for new electronic sounds in Tokyo. Straight from Sydney, the hip hop group Bliss´N´Eso explains growing Australian hiphop scene.

Episode 6

Meet the hiphop legend Kool Keith, from the old school rap group Ultra Magnetic MCs. Hear him rap about old times and new sounds of hiphop. Watch out for Immortal Technique from New York, wanted by the FBI because of his revolutionary words. Also presenting the Waikikii B-boys from Hawaii, spinning heads, legs and more on the sidewalks of Honolulu.

Episode 7

We meet Diva KP, the voice of Baltimore´s only underground music TV show, presenting the best dancers and house legends with the “Housin’ it Underground Show”. DJ Kevvy Kev, the host of the longest running hiphop radioshow in the world. The group Word A Mouth raps about the pain and struggle in New York City. Also in this episode we meet Peanut Butter Wolf of the famous label Stones Throw and crazy, independent blaxploitation film maker Masahi Yamamoto from Tokyo.

Episode 8

The political hiphop activist Upski explains about his book “No More Prisons” and America´s growing prison industry. Get a close look into the world of Futura 2000  and his upcoming projects. Also appearing in this episode: The experimental producer and painter DJ Spooky leads us through the stress in New York City and we meet the young rap star Kashi Da Handsome from Tokyo.

Episode 9

Gamelab in New York shows you how to make music for interactive games. Photographer and filmmaker B+ puts together the worlds most sampled drummers and best DJs to show the relationship between turntablism and drumming. We head into DubLab headquarters in Hollywood and meet the people behind the positive driven internet music outlet. Have you seen the worlds most famous graffiti artist SEEN? Maybe in the Style Wars documentary, but here he is 30 years after his artistic debut on New York City´s subway. Also in this episode we meet beatmaker and singer/songwriter Damon Aaron from Los Angeles.
